Blueberry Cheesecake Rolls are a delightful and easy-to-make treat combining creamy sweetened cream cheese with fresh blueberries, all wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough and baked to golden perfection. These handheld pastries are perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack, offering a balance of fruity freshness and rich sweetness in every bite.

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 4 oz (113 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting or glaze, optional)

Rolls

  • 1 can (8 oz / 226 g) crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
  3. Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual perforated triangles.
  4. Fill Rolls: Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture along the wider end of each crescent triangle.
  5. Add Blueberries: Place several fresh blueberries on top of the cream cheese filling evenly on each triangle.
  6. Roll Up: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly toward the tip, gently sealing the edges to keep the filling inside during baking.
  7. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spaced evenly to allow for expansion.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10–13 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the dough is set.
  9. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the rolls to cool slightly on a rack. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle a glaze before serving for added sweetness.

Notes

  • Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute frozen blueberries, but do not thaw them before adding to avoid excess moisture.
  • Optional glaze can be made from powdered sugar and milk for extra sweetness.
  • Serve warm for a gooey cream cheese center or at room temperature for easier handling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container; best enjoyed within 2 days.
