A festive Halloween popcorn treat combining crunchy popcorn, sweet marshmallows, creamy white chocolate, festive sprinkles, Oreo crumbs, and colorful M&M’s for a delicious and visually fun snack perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

Popcorn Mix

  • 6 cups popped popcorn
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 (10 ounce) bag white chocolate melting wafers

Toppings

  • ¼ cup Halloween sprinkles
  • 10 Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1 bag M&M’s (Cookies & Scream variety recommended)

Instructions

  1. Divide Popcorn and Marshmallows: Separate the popcorn and marshmallows evenly into two large bowls to prepare for two different coating treatments.
  2. Melt First Half of Chocolate: Place half of the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at 50% power for 45 seconds, then stir. Repeat heating and stirring in short bursts until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Coat First Batch: Pour the melted white chocolate into one bowl of popcorn and marshmallows. Stir thoroughly to coat everything evenly with the chocolate.
  4. Add Sprinkles and M&M’s to First Batch: Sprinkle the Halloween sprinkles into the coated mixture and toss again gently. Transfer this mixture to one side of a tray lined with parchment paper and scatter half of the M&M’s on top.
  5. Melt Remaining Chocolate: Melt the remaining white chocolate wafers using the same microwave method (50% power in short bursts, stirring frequently) until creamy and smooth.
  6. Coat Second Batch: Pour the second batch of melted chocolate into the remaining bowl of popcorn and marshmallows. Stir until everything is evenly coated with chocolate.
  7. Add Oreo Crumbs: Gradually add the crushed Oreo cookie crumbs to the coated popcorn, stirring continuously until the mixture has a crumbly coating.
  8. Assemble Second Batch: Dump this Oreo-coated popcorn onto the opposite end of the parchment-lined tray and sprinkle the remaining M&M’s over the top.
  9. Chill and Serve: Place the tray in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to help set the chocolate coating. Once set, break the popcorn into clusters and store in a tightly sealed bag to maintain freshness.
