Delicious and easy Hot Honey Salmon Bites perfect for a quick and flavorful meal. Tender salmon pieces are seasoned with garlic, smoked paprika, and spices, baked to perfection, then coated in a sweet and spicy hot honey glaze and broiled for a beautiful caramelized finish. Serve warm alongside rice, avocado, and fresh cucumbers for a satisfying dish.

Ingredients

Salmon Bites

  • 2 pounds salmon fillet with skin on or off, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup hot honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oven and Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup. Set the baking sheet aside while you prepare the salmon.
  2. Season Salmon: Place the salmon pieces in a large bowl. Drizzle with the extra virgin olive oil and gently stir with a spoon to coat all pieces evenly. Sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and ground black pepper over the salmon. Stir gently again until the spices are distributed evenly over the fish.
  3. Bake Salmon: Transfer the seasoned salmon pieces to the prepared baking sheet. Arrange them in a single layer, making sure the pieces do not touch each other to allow even cooking. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
  4. Add Hot Honey and Broil: Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Using a spatula, gently move the salmon pieces into a single pile. Drizzle the hot honey over the salmon and carefully stir to coat every piece in the spicy sweet glaze. Spread the salmon back into a single layer on the baking sheet. Place under the oven broiler and broil until the salmon is golden brown and caramelized on top, watching carefully to avoid burning (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Serve: Remove the salmon bites from the oven and serve immediately. These hot honey salmon bites pair wonderfully with steamed rice, sliced avocado, fresh cucumbers, and an extra drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

  • Use skin-on or skinless salmon depending on your preference; skin can be removed after cooking if desired.
  • Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the spice level.
  • Keep a close eye while broiling to prevent burning due to the sugars in the honey.
  • Salmon bites can be cooked slightly less or more depending on your preferred doneness.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
