A refreshing and fruity twist on the classic mojito, this Mango Mojito Cocktail blends ripe mango, fresh mint, and lime with white rum for a tropical, invigorating drink perfect for warm days or festive occasions.

Ingredients

Fruit and Herbs

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lime, juiced

Liquids and Sweeteners

  • 1 tablespoon sugar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 30 ml white rum
  • Club soda, to top

Additional

  • Ice cubes
  • Mint sprigs and lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Muddle Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the diced mango, mint leaves, and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint and mango to release their juices and infuse the flavors.
  2. Add Lime Juice and Rum: Squeeze fresh lime juice into the shaker, add the white rum, and then add some ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake briskly for about 10 seconds to mix and chill the cocktail.
  3. Add Ice: Fill a serving glass with ice cubes to the top to keep the drink cold and refreshing.
  4. Top with Soda: Strain the cocktail mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass, then top it off with club soda. Stir gently to combine all flavors without flattening the fizz.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the glass with a fresh mint sprig and a lime wedge to add aroma and a decorative touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Mango Mojito!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar or simple syrup according to your taste preference.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and add extra club soda or a splash of sparkling water.
  • Use fresh, ripe mangoes for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
  • Lightly muddle the mint to avoid bitterness from over crushing.
  • Serve chilled for the most refreshing experience.
