These Easy Oreo Balls are decadent no-bake treats combining the rich flavors of Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in your choice of semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate. Perfect for quick dessert cravings or party treats, they require minimal ingredients and no oven time, just chilling and dipping.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 16 ounces milk chocolate
  • 16 ounces white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Process 36 regular Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form by using a food processor or sealing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Transfer Oreo crumbs to a medium bowl and add the softened 8-ounce cream cheese. Mix thoroughly with a spoon or spatula until the mixture is uniform and dough-like with no dry crumbs visible.
  3. Form Balls: Scoop about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll between your palms into compact 1-inch diameter balls. Place each ball onto a parchment or wax paper lined baking sheet. Repeat with all mixture to yield approximately 36 to 40 balls.
  4. Chill Oreo Balls: Refrigerate the baking sheet with formed balls for at least 30 minutes to firm them up, making them easier to dip in chocolate later.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Melt 16 ounces of your preferred chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or white) using a double boiler or microwave on 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let the chocolate cool slightly before dipping.
  6. Dip Oreo Balls: Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled Oreo Ball into the melted chocolate to coat completely. Lift, allow excess chocolate to drip off, and gently tap the fork on the bowl’s edge to remove extra coating. Place dipped balls back on the lined baking sheet. Optionally, drizzle contrasting chocolate or add sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  7. Set Chocolate: Allow chocolate coatings to set and harden completely. For quicker setting, place the baking sheet back into the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier mixing and smoother texture.
  • Chilling the Oreo balls before dipping helps prevent them from falling apart in the chocolate.
  • You can mix and match chocolates or decorate with sprinkles for festive variations.
  • Store finished Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator, best consumed within 5 days.
  • If using a microwave to melt chocolate, stir frequently to avoid burning.
