A refreshing Orange Coconut Creamsicle Drink that can be enjoyed as a cocktail or a mocktail. This tropical-inspired beverage combines coconut water, creamy coconut milk, fresh orange juice, and a hint of lime with a toasted coconut rim for a delightful and vibrant drink perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Margarita Mocktail

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk or substitute heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or simple syrup
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1.5 oz non-alcoholic tequila or real tequila

Toasted Coconut Rim

  • Toasted coconut (about 1/4 cup)
  • Zest of 1/2 lime
  • Zest of 1/2 orange
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Dried orange slice for garnish (optional)
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Toasted Coconut Rim: Mix the toasted coconut with the zest of half a lemon and half a lime on a plate. Add honey to the side of the glass and roll the rim of the glass in honey before dipping it into the toasted coconut mixture to create a flavorful rim.
  2. Mix the Drink: In a cocktail shaker, combine coconut water, coconut milk (or heavy cream), orange juice, maple or simple syrup, lime juice, and non-alcoholic or regular tequila. Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to chill and blend the ingredients.
  3. Serve: Strain the mixture over a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a dried orange slice and optionally add a dollop of whipped cream on top for extra richness.

  • For a dairy-free version, use canned coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
